AFTERPAY FLIGHTS? CAN I REALLY?
Yes, really! Thanks to the folks at Afterpay, you can book now, pay later for domestic and international flights you book on mixandmatch.co.nz not exceeding a total cost of $3000.

Afterpay will assess your individual eligibility to make a purchase using its system up to this amount. An Afterpay price breakdown will be shown against each flight option in the search results booking page. This price breakdown may change based on your Afterpay-approved spending limit. Afterpay will show you how the instalments are split before you pay.

Afterpay customers must pay for their booking in 4 fortnightly payments, with the first instalment due at the time of the booking.
If you are not familiar with Afterpay, Afterpay lets customers get what they need now, and make their first payment up front and the rest over six weeks. You’ll NEVER be charged interest (though you may be charged a fee if you don’t pay on time).

DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO USE AFTERPAY?
Besides your Mix & Match booking costs, you’ll only have to pay extra cash to Afterpay if you don’t make any of your payment instalments on time. Your first payment will come off your credit or debit card when choosing Afterpay (at the Mix & Match booking payment stage). Then the other payments will come two, four, and six weeks after that. Pretty easy! If you miss or are late with a payment, Afterpay will charge a late fee.

DOES AFTERPAY RUN A CREDIT CHECK OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT?
No, they don’t. Having an Afterpay account won’t affect your credit rating at all! They’ll ask for your email, phone number, address, DOB, and debit/credit card details. Staying on top of your payments and never missing one helps your Afterpay smart limit increase.

There are criteria for every purchase on Afterpay (for instance, you need to be an Australian resident). Still, as they run their checks instantly, you’ll know instantly if you can pay for your Mix & Match flights with Afterpay. Excellent!

HOW DO I KNOW WHERE I AM UP TO WITH MY AFTERPAY PAYMENTS?
Thankfully Afterpay makes it easy to manage all your payments online via your Afterpay account dashboard. Head to the Apple Store or Google Play to get the Afterpay app, as that’s the easiest way to manage your account.
Alternatively, you can access your account via the Afterpay website. Afterpay send handy reminders when your payments are due, so you don’t have to stress about anything, except what you're packing, is your passport up-to-date and what playlist you’ll be listening to as you try nodding off in your seat.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL OR AMEND MY FLIGHT BOOKING AFTER I HAVE SELECTED AFTERPAY?

If you ever need to cancel your booking with Mix & Match, we'll first take a look at the booking rules to see if a refund is possible. Now, if your booking happens to be non-refundable, don't sweat it! You can still cancel your flight, but keep in mind you'll need to keep up with the payments on your Afterpay account.

But wait, there's good news too! If your booking is eligible for a refund, we'll reach out to the airline. Once we've got that refund in hand, we'll speedily process it right back into your account, less any Airline and Mix & Match cancellation fees. Just a friendly reminder, though – while we're working on getting that refund squared away, keep those payments coming as usual until the refund is safely back on your Afterpay Dashboard.
