One of the most frequent questions we receive from Virgin Australia Future Flight Credit holders is when will Virgin Australia increase flights between Australia and New Zealand, outside of the current services into Queenstown?
While Mix & Match and House of Travel has continued to engage with Virgin Australia to seek clarity on their plans, to date Virgin Australia has not signalled an intention to return to other New Zealand airports outside of Queenstown in the near future.
Can Mix & Match and House of Travel do anything to change Virgin Australia’s position regarding alternative options for New Zealand-based customers due to the restricted services operating to and from NZ?
Mix & Match and House of Travel have engaged with Virgin Australia to request the provision of alternative options for New Zealand-based customers of Virgin Australia who are unable to redeem their Virgin Australia Future Flight Credits due to the restricted number of services to New Zealand. For the past two years we have regularly communicated the disappointment and frustration of many Virgin Australia Future flight Credit Holders. Unfortunately, these discussions have not resulted in a change of position regarding the terms and conditions of the Future Flight Credits from Virgin Australia.
If I have friends or family in Australia, can I gift or sell my Future Flight credit to them?
Via the Travel Bank, credit holders have been able to purchase tickets in the name of other passengers allowing them to gift or sell their credit to friends and family in Australia.
Can Mix & Match and House of Travel help me to rebook my Future Flight Credit?
Given the changes Virgin Australia has made you will need to make any bookings via the Travel Bank online system, however if you are not comfortable using this system then we can assist you with this for a small administration fee.
